Get ready to bump, set and spike your way to two days full of volleyball and family fun.

The Wine Cellar along with both Turks & Caicos Volleyball Federation and Sports Commission are set to host their 1st Annual Beach Volleyball Invitational 2 Day Event on Oct. 9 and 10.

The event is open to all residents, visitors and youth in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The association is inviting individuals to assemble a team within your organization — do a department challenge, corporate challenge or a team within your school, church or youth group. There are will be three divisions of play — advance, recreational and youth (12+).

This fun-filled weekend will be hosted on the sandy beaches of Grace Bay at Flamingo Beach Café on Oct. 10. The event will feature live music, food vendors and tons of beach volleyball.

As a major sponsor, the Wine Cellar has donated cash prizes for the top three teams in each division as well as team trophies.

All proceeds from raffle ticket sales and team entry fees will be donated to Turks & Caicos Volleyball Federation for future tournaments within the Caribbean.

On May 5, the TCI became the newest member of the North, Central America and Caribbean (NORCECA) Volleyball Confederation under the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) Institution. Dorn Fulford, president of TCI Volleyball Federation, attended NORCECA’s Executive Committee and Board of Administration meetings at the Confederation headquarters in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Spectators will also be able to participate in the excitement with give-a-ways and raffle draws.

There will be BBQ specials, live music, sponsored by Coors Light, Patron and Van Gogh Vodka. There will be plenty of activities for the whole family.

Come out and have some fun in the sun, cheer on your favourite team and support your community.
