![]() Perhaps there is a future Mark Zuckerberg among us. These young and talented students spent recent weeks learning about website design and executing their own sites. The Ashcroft School in Leeward runs after school clubs, open to children across the island. In the recent term, the school offered a Website Design Club for children ages six to ten. Over the past eight weeks the students learnt about how to create and design their very own websites. Each child created and completed a website to finish the unit of work. The websites were planned by the children and reflect their own personal interests. To celebrate the acheivement a fellow club, ‘French Cooking,’ catered a party for the two groups. The cooking club created seven mouthwatering recipes over the course of the term. Recipes included - Croque Monsiuer, Crepes and French Toast. The recipes were “ Yummy”, said eight year old Ashley Gershtein. “My Mom is planning on having me make dinner soon,” she added. For the launch party the menu included tasty treats such as brie with fig preserve, baguettes, pate and real french Limonade.
