![]() Police have two men in custody in connection with the shooting of an employee at a local resort on Providenciales. At around 10 p.m. Oct. 24, an employee was shot in his left leg and was taken to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre for treatment. “The victim, who was suffering serious gun shot wounds to his leg, received emergency treatment before undergoing surgery,” an InterHealth spokesman said. “He is now recovering on the general ward where his condition is stable.” Two men are in custody and are being questioned by police. Man stabbed during fight Oct. 22 on Grand Turk Police have arrested two men for fighting in a public place during which one was stabbed. The man who stabbed the other was also charged with wounding. The altercation occurred Oct. 22 at the Yellowman Auditorium on the Old Airport Road on Grand Turk. During the fight, one man received a number of stab wounds and was taken to the Cockburn Town Medical Centre. “The injured man was scanned and then underwent immediate emergency treatment, including the repair of his lacerations,” said InterHealth Canada’s Dr. Denise Braithwaite. “He remained in hospital overnight for observation but was discharged later in a stable condition.” Man killed on Provo in 4th traffic fatality of 2011 A 20-year-old man was killed Oct. 25 when his car struck a cement structure and overturned on Long Bay Road. Labian Etienne, the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Excessive speed is believed to be a contributing factor, police said.
