The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the U.K. is inviting one nomination from the Turks and Caicos Islands for scholarship in the U.K. beginning in October 2012.
The deadline for local entries is Nov. 30, and the Office of the Public Service Management is urging as many suitable persons as possible to apply.
The TCI will submit one candidate from any one of the following categories:
Candidates should hold by October 2012 a first degree of at least upper second class honours level or a degree of second class and a relevant post graduate degree. They must be able to take up their awards in October 2012, with deferments granted only in exceptional circumstances.
Candidates applying for doctoral study also must provide the commission with evidence of support from a prospective supervisor from at least one of their chosen institutions at the time of application.
A local selection committee will grade applications on their academic merit, the quality of their study plan and the likely development impact that a candidate will have after completion.
Further details of eligibility criteria are available at: http://bit.ly/cscuk-scholarships-developing-cw.
No hard copy applications will be accepted. All applicants should complete the Electronic Application System available at http://bit.ly/cscuk-apply.
