A teenager has been convicted of murdering an 81-year-old great-grandmother on Middle Caicos with a verdict that says he was insane at the time. Randy Harvey, 15, is scheduled to return to the Supreme Court on Nov. 25 to receive a sentence that will include treatment during his incarceration. Harvey was 14 at the time he repeatedly stabbed Charity Harvey Higgs on Aug. 3 in her house in the Conch Bar community on Middle Caicos. Police investigating Nov. 1 robbery, shooting in Bight Three people wearing masks robbed cash from a business in the Bight around 8 p.m. Nov. 1. One robber fired one shot during the robbery, but no one was injured, police said.
