The Security Centre Ltd. has been rebranded as Caribbean Security Services after a reorganization of its corporate structure and management since October 2011.

As part of its improved services, Caribbean Security is installing a closed circuit television (CCTV) system that will begin operation by the end of May.

“Our CCTV system will cover the entire island of Providenciales once fully installed and will be expanded to the other habited islands within the first year,” Caribbean Security Chairman Marc Bernier said an April 27 announcement.

“Our CCTV system will help us revolutionize the methods available in (the Turks and Caicos Islands) to ensure the safety of the residential, tourism and commercial zones; and will be a great asset in reducing the current crime rate.”

The Security Centre has been providing security services for more than 12 years but has recently undergone reorganization with the help of internationally recognized security experts, adding new services, new equipment and new technologies.

As Caribbean Security, the company is updating its uniforms and equipment, including the addition of three Ballistic Level 5 armored vehicles for cash transportation services.

“We have increased the number of Belongers which are employed by the company and have developed a program allowing our employees to make a career in the private security industry through our continuous education and training programs,” Bernier said.

“We believe that the new brand, Caribbean Security Services, or CSS, and its organizational structure will allow us to offer a quality of services that no other private security provider in the TCI can match and which rivals, in competence and in quality, the best private security companies in North America and Europe.”

The new CSS client services office is in Suite 205 in Regent Village on Grace Bay above Jai’s Jewelry.
