Police are hunting two armed men who robbed a Grace Bay business Aug. 8.

The masked culprits entered the Paradise Entertainment Gaming Centre at Ports of Call just before 8 p.m. and threatened staff with a gun.

Terrified workers were forced to hand over $2,500 in cash and two mobile phones before the robbers escaped in small Saloon vehicle.

“This was an extremely nasty robbery and a very frightening ordeal for staff at Paradise Entertainment,” a Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force spokesman said.

“Obviously we are very keen to catch these criminals, and we appeal to anyone who was in the Port of Calls area between about 7:30 -8 p.m. Aug. 8 and who saw anything suspicious to contact us.

“In particular we would like to speak to anyone who may have information about the vehicle that was used by the culprits.”

One of the men is described as having a dark complexion and was wearing long dark pants with a black T-shirt around his face. He was of slim build and about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

The other man also had a dark complexion and was wearing long dark pants and a white T-shirt covering his face. He was between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall.

The mobile phones taken were a black Samsung and a white iPhone. Staff described the gun used in the robbery as having a black handle.
