Police arrested a 40-year-old man and a 15-yea-old youth after finding 463 grams of cocaine during a traffic stop Nov. 10 on Providenciales. The 15-year-old was charged with possession of controlled drugs and possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. The 40-year-old was charged with possession of controlled drugs, possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply, resisting and obstruction. Both subjects pleaded not guilty in court, and their case was adjourned until April 11. Man get 12 months prison, deportation for pot charge
A 41-year-old man has been sent to prison for 12 months and ordered to be deported after serving time. The police Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant for drugs at a home on Lighthouse Road and found 683.4 grams of cannabis and $575. Jean Claude Joseph was arrested Nov. 15 and charged with possession of controlled drugs and possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. Joseph pleaded guilty Nov. 16 in Magistrate’s Court to the charge of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. He was sentenced to 12 months in prison and deportation. The money was ordered to be turned over to the government Treasury. Police investigate money stolen from gaming machines
Police are investigating the theft of money from four gaming machines in a Five Cays bar. It was reported that the bar was secured at 11:50 p.m. on Nov. 13, and at 5 p.m. the following day the machines were damaged and the monies missing.
